Basingstoke Town v Marine Preview:

We visit Hampshire on Saturday afternoon, as we face the Dragons for the second time in a week, kick off 3pm.

Current League Positions:

Basingstoke Town - 7th P16-W6-D3-L7-21Pts Marine - 22nd P13-W0-D4-L9-4Pts

Marine Head Coach Stuart Fleetwood was left to rue his sides lack of a finishing touch following last weekend’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Saturday’s patched-up opponents and will have spent much of this week in the search of strengthening his attacking options.

“I’ve said to the lads that I’m going to have to get bodies in,” he said in his post-game interview. We are creating chances, but we didn’t test their keeper enough.”

“Basingstoke, fair play to them, they were patched-up with all their injuries, but they deserved their victory and it’s a bit of a backwards step under me and we can argue about the goal but they still scored three goals against us which is disappointing.”

Whether we will see any movement on the transfer front ahead of the weekend will remain to be seen but one area that has been strengthened is the rear line with centre-back Toby Raison now being available having been cup-tied last weekend and if selected, will be given a baptism of fire against a rampant Dragons side.
