.### Bobby Wilkinson’s player update

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to provide everyone with a quick update on the squad, injuries, and preparations for the weekend.

Firstly, we have had a couple of departures this week, with James Harding leaving the squad in search of regular first team football. I’m pleased for him and thank him for his service and wish him all the best.

Brooks Leipus has returned to Lithuania in search of more first team football, and I wish him well for the next part of his career and Olly Case has joined Fairford on a dual registration for six weeks to gain further playing time as well.

Josh Blyth played for the Dev’s on Wednesday evening after a bout of illness, and Joe Beardwell also got 45 minutes on Wednesday night as he comes back from a kneww injury which is good.

Max Hemmings is back to full fitness, and Nick Rhodes is back training and available for selection, as is Dan Warre after a slight injury but unfortunately Jonny Efedje is still out for another week or two after his injury at Hungerford.

Lucas Myers and Charlie Betts have returned to Swindon Town U18’s, and I thank them both for their services to the club.

I’m also delighted to welcome central defender Rocco Sughayer who joined the club from Bristol Rovers just before last Saturday’s home game with Bideford AFC, and this week we have brought in another defender, Ciaran Walsh from Forest Green Rovers, both players are on a months Work Experience.

In the last 48hrs we have also signed midfielder Zach Rugman from Alton FC. We were really impressed by him during our FA Cup ties and he will bring additional quality to the side.

I’m really pleased with the squad coming together and bringing one or two in, moving one or two on as we continue to build the squad. It’s been a brilliant transition to find the right balance of the squad.

We are not far off having a settled 17 man squad, and as you can imagine, building a side from scratch, brings lots of challenges as we find the right balance for the team.

Finally, to the fans, thank you for the constant support. I’m trying to keep you in the loop with everything going on and we appreciate all the support and look forward to see you at the back to back home games this Saturday and Monday, which will be a really tough challenge against two of the top sides in the division.

I promise you we will be trying to prepare right and to win both games of football.

Bobby
