Swindon Supermarine vs Cheltenham Town Preview

We host the EFL League One Cheltenham Town at the Webbswood Stadium in a Tuesday evening match-up, kick off 7.45pm.

Marine continue preseason preparations by playing a second fixture at the Webbswood Stadium on Tuesday evening when they host further Football League opposition, this time in the form of Cheltenham Town.

Preparations got underway last Wednesday evening with a useful test against Swindon Town and a crowd of over 1,500 packed in to SN3 so it would be great to see another healthy attendance as we take on Wade Elliott’s men.

The Robins came away from Pitching In Southern League Division One South side Evesham United at the weekend with a 4-2 win with goals from Cameron Walters, Liam Sercombe (2) and Lewis Freestone, in their opening foray in there preseason games.

Admission Prices:

There are no tickets on sale for our preseason game with Cheltenham Town, our turnstiles will be open from 18:00 and it is pay on the day with either cash or card payments accepted’

Matchday Experience:

We’re not holding our usual ground tours for our pre-season games, however we have invited teams to come along for the events and we’re delighted to be fully booked for our home schedule! The invited teams will become mascots before taking up the ball boy / ball girls role so we thank everybody who is taking part!

For our friendly with Cheltenham Town, we welcome the Swindon Supermarine U9s to the big game and we can’t wait to see you all, we hope you enjoy the occasion.

We’ll have half-time and full-time updates on Facebook and game highlights will follow on our own Supermarine TV on Wednesday evening.

Match Programme:

We will not have Match Programme’s on sale for our preseason games this month, but they will return for the start of our Southern League Premier South campaign starting from August 5th 2023.

Half Time Draw:

Don’t forget to visit Martin in the club shop ahead of the game or when he’s going around the stadium to purchase tickets for our 50/50 Draw. Just £1 will get you entry and you could take home a cash prize or a runner-up prize!

Parking & Travel:

Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in our car park at the Webbswood Stadium, it does get very busy League opposition so please either travel to the game earlier than normal or why not travel by public transport and then save the issue off finding a parking space!

We encourage our spectators to use the Stagecoach Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station, with a route via Groundwell Industrial Park and The Crown Inn at Stratton. It’s a twenty-three minute bus ride to the last stop in the South Marston Industrial Estate (Exel stop).

Just ask the bus driver to stop for you at the bus stop for the Supermarine Sports Complex, and then its just a few minutes walk from there to the ground. This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it!
