Marine v Hungerford Town Review

Posted by Keith Yeomans

Marine vs Hungerford Town Preview:

We’ve hosting another big game at the Webbswood Stadium tonight, Tuesday evening, as we welcome the Crusaders, kick off 7.45pm

Current Positions:

Swindon Supermarine in 22nd P9-W0-D1-L8 1pts
vs
Hungerford Town in 14th P8-W2-D2-L4 8Pts)

Supermarine will continue to go in search of that illusive opening win of the season on Tuesday evening when the Crusaders make the short journey to the Webbswood Stadium, in what will mark the first home game under new Head Coach, Stuart Fleetwood.

Having taken charge of his inherited side for a single training session before being thrust in to a tough away game at Totton, the baptism of fire will continue against Hungerford with renewed optimism and vision under the leadership of the UEFA A Licensed Coach.

Marine will hope to have new Gloucester City loanee, Ioan Richards available for selection after he travelled to the Snows Stadium at the weekend but wasn’t eligible to play. The 22-year-old centre-back is being brought in to help firm up the rear guard in what begins an important transitional period for the club.

The Teams Leading Goalscorers:

Marine: Ed Williams – 4
The Crusaders: Conor McDonagh – 10

Plymouth Parkway vs Dorchester Town
Sholing vs Salisbury
Walton & Hersham vs Chesham United

Parking & Travel:

Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in our car park at the Webbswood Stadium, it does get very busy on matchdays so why not travel by public transport and then save the issue off finding a parking space!

We encourage our spectators to use the Stagecoach Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station, with a route via Greenbridge Retail Park and The Crown Inn at Stratton. It’s a twenty-three-minute bus ride to the last bus stop in the South Marston Industrial Estate (Exel stop).

Just ask the bus driver to stop for you at the bus stop for the Supermarine Sports Complex, and then it’s just a few minutes’ walk from there to the ground. This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it!
