SWINDON SUPERMARINE END-OF-SEASON AWARDS

Swindon Supermarine brought the curtain down on their 2025/26 campaign with a celebratory end-of-season awards evening, reflecting on a year defined by perseverance, growth, and togetherness.

The night began with a review of the season, highlighting the character shown by players and management to secure a respectable mid-table finish despite a challenging backdrop.

Manager Bobby Wilkinson arrived in May 2025 to find just two players on the books, forcing a rapid rebuild ahead of the new campaign. Early momentum was then disrupted by a series of injuries to key personnel, while severe autumn weather compounded matters further.

A run of seven consecutive home postponements created an unusual and disjointed fixture schedule - hampering momentum whilst testing the squad’s consistency and resolve. Despite those hurdles, Supermarine rallied impressively - something reflected in the evening’s award winners.

Bringing the evening to a close, manager Bobby Wilkinson paid tribute to everyone connected with the club, from players and staff to board members, volunteers and supporters.

He spoke of his pride in the squad’s development over the course of the season, particularly their turnaround from relegation trouble in early January to a secure mid-table finish. The continued progress of the club’s younger players, he added, offers further encouragement for the future.

After a testing but ultimately rewarding campaign, Supermarine now look ahead to season 2026/27 with optimism.
