A Club Update from Jez

I just wanted to update everybody on the work that is ongoing at the club during the close season.

Our selection process for the new manager is well underway, we are being very diligent and taking our time to ensure our next appointment is the right one for a new journey in the Southern League Division South.

We have been delighted by the quality and quantity of the applications which shows the standing the club holds in the non-league football community. We will of course update everyone when there is more news on the appointment.

The renovation of our Swindome facility is in progress, the old surface has now been removed and the new one is being laid which will be completed in the next ten days. We are excited to welcome all our loyal customers and new clients later this month.

Since the end of the season, our first team outdoor pitch renovation has started under the guidance of Head Groundsman, Bradley Tennant. A full verticut of the pitch has been complete with grass seed and topdressing applied to enhance the standard of the pitch which improves year on year.

Currently, the weather isn’t on our side but with our new watering system we are confident that our hard work and the skill of our grounds team will ensure we start a season with a pitch to be proud of. As part of this renovation, we have also skimmed and levelled both goal mouths. This continued high level of investment will ensure the foundations are in place for next season and beyond.

On a personal note, I want to thank everyone who has taken time to show support to the club since our relegation and to the news that next season will be my last as chairman. I look forward to updating you all in due course.
