Bracknell Town v Marine Preview:

We’re back on our travels this Saturday as we make the short journey in to Berkshire where we face the Robins, kick off 3pm. Marine will continue the search for their opening points of the new season in Sandhurst on Saturday afternoon, in what will certainly prove to be another tricky encounter.

In what was always going to be a demanding month against a number of the potentially the strongest sides in this league. Marine have continued to work hard to gain points and overcome the fine margins involved and as things continue to gel. Turning that effort in to points is tantalisingly close.

Last Season:

The Robins ended the 2022/23 campaign in their highest ever league position, as runners-up in the Southern League Premier South. They were just three points behind Champions Weston-super-Mare. in the playoff semi-final tie they beat Chesham United 1-0, but then suffered defeat against Truro City in the playoff final, losing 3-2 at home.

The disappointment of missing out on promotion was made a little less bitter by the club’s cup success which saw them secure the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup by beating Marlow 1-0 in the Final and they managed to reach Round 1 of the FA Cup where they fell to a 3-0 defeat at home to Ipswich Town. But they reached the 5th Round of the FA Trophy before losing 3-1 at home to Altrincham.
