DOUBLE HEADER PREVIEW
It will enable the management to give as many as possible a full 90 minutes over the weekend with a current squad of 22 boosted by some trialists and Development players.
Manager Lee Spalding had this to say;
“After Tuesdays excellent second half performance, it was good to back up the positive performance against Swindon. Both games this weekend will be tough and provide different tests. Friday will be a chance for the whole squad to top up on their minutes with players returning from holiday also two returning from injury. We will also be taking three Development players to give them experience of first team football, for sure 90 Minutes on a 3G surface will be a good test tonight.“
“Saturday’s game at home against Forest Green Rovers will be a chance for the team to play against a newly promoted side and with FGR’s league fixtures starting on the 30th July they will be very sharp with a huge amount of quality all over the pitch, and probably plenty of possession which will ask us a lot of questions! It certainly is one to look forward to for the football club. It would be great to see a lot of fans from both clubs getting to the Webbswood Stadium to watch an entertaining game of football! Look forward to seeing you there.“
