Duo Exit Marine
Swindon Supermarine FC can confirm that both goalkeeper Charlie Searle and defender Malik Sesay have left the club.
South Coast based Charlie originally joined the club as an emergency goalkeeper signing back in April 2022 following injuries to both of the club’s keepers at the time, and quickly became a fans favourite.
He returning at the beginning of the current campaign under former manager Lee Spalding, however with the difficult start to the season, he made his final appearance in Marine colours at our away game at Bracknell Town, marking eleven appearances in total.
There is a similar tale for Malik, who lives in South-East London. Malik impressed fans during his loan period from Bristol Rovers in our record breaking 2022/23 campaign. However, with strong competition the defender found his opportunities limited to nine appearances.
Having returned this summer after his release from Bristol Rovers he has played a further eight games, but with the recent changes in club personnel, has seen his opportunities limited so he will now be able to to look for a club closer to home.
The club wish the popular duo all the very best for the future and we thank them for their efforts during their time at the Webbswood Stadium.
