Gloucester City defender Ioan Richards joins in one-month loan

Gloucester City’s 22-year-olddefender Ioan Richards has joined Swindon Supermarine in a one-month loan deal.

The Welshman re-joined the Tigers in July 2023 having originally been at the club during the 2019/20 season before the former Newport County and Cheltenham Town scholar left the club and enjoyed spells at Yate Town, Taunton Town and Redditch United.

The centre-back joined the squad on Saturday afternoon at their Southern League Premier South game at AFC Totton and was involved in the pre-match preparations under invite from new Head Coach Stuart Fleetwood.

However, with all the paperwork now complete, he is available for selection against Hungerford Town at the Webbswood Stadium tonight for this evenings league encounter, kick off is 7.45pm.
