Ioan Makes Permanent Switch To Marine

Swindon Supermarine head coach Stuart Fleetwood is delighted to confirm that defender Ioan Richards has completed a permanent move to Wiltshire from Gloucester City.

The talented 22-year-old arrived at the Webbswood Stadium in a temporary loan deal at end of September and made an immediate impact as we hosted highflying Hungerford Town and ran them close in a narrow 3-2 defeat and has become an important part of the team that have pushed on from that performance to enjoy its best spell of the season to date.

Bottom of the standings when he arrived, the side have gone on to lose just one league game in the following eight, and has seen them pick up 13 points during that period, rising to within two-points of exiting the four relegation spaces.

Since joining Marine, Ioan has gone on to make nine appearances and scored one goal, which came during out 3-1 victory over Tiverton Town in the FA Trophy.
