Levi Leaves Marine
This afternoon Swindon Supermarine FC have announced that striker Levi Irving has left the club following an approach from Salisbury a few days ago.
After speaking with Salisbury Levi informed head coach Stuart Fleetwood that he will leaving and joining Salisbury with immediate effect. Since joining the club from Cirencester Town in the summer of 2023 he has made 26 starts for Marine and 8 substitute appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals in his time at the Webbswood Stadium.
Stuart Fleetwood told club media; “There was contact from Salisbury on Friday and I waived it on Saturday after the game as he wanted to speak to them. He decided it was a good opportunity for him to leave the club. I’m hoping that Levi is leaving a better player since myself and my assistant Dan came to the club”.
“I think he has got some serious qualities to go and play at a higher level but has decided to stay at this level and go to Salisbury as he feels like he can further his career there. I wish him all the best, as always, and he goes with our best wishes. Now we have to focus on the players who are here at the club and going to keep us in this division”.
We echo Fleets’ comments and wish Levi all the best, and thank him for his efforts in his time in the blue and white of Marine. Fleets men are back in action this weekend at home to Plymouth Parkway in a crucial match that may have ramifications on where we both finish this season.
