Marine sign goalkeeper

Billy Thomas

Swindon Supermarine are also pleased to finally be announcing that goalkeeper, Billy Thomas has joined the club from Shortwood United.

A young, hungry goalkeeper with a keenness to learn, Billy joins us as back up to current number one, Conor Brann after the departure of Louis Evans to Hartley Wintney.

Billy has been in the squad in the last couple of games, so you would have noticed his name on the team sheet, but the deal has now been approved by the FA.

Billy had this to say. “I’m delighted to join the club and to join such a great team. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and am looking forward to getting stuck in, learning and showcasing what I can do.”

Upon his signing, Stuart Fleetwood had this to say. “We needed cover after Louis left for Hartley Wintney and in Billy we have a young goalkeeper willing to learn. He’s great in stature, 6ft 4 and a great lad who is very coachable and in the early sessions he’s had with us, has shown fantastic promise”.

Welcome to Marine Billy…
