Marine v Beaconsfield Preview

Posted by Keith Yeomans

Marine vs Beaconsfield Preview:

We look forward to some floodlit football at the Webbswood Stadium on Tuesday evening, as the Rams visit SN3, kick off 7.45pm.

With the new manager recruitment process well underway, defender Jamie Edge and goalkeeper coach Rhys Evans came tantalisingly close to leading Marine to their opening point down in Dorchester on Saturday afternoon, but for a hugely debatable penalty decision, the side return to Wiltshire with nothing for their troubles for a disappointing seventh league fixture.

Marine will continue to tackle the challenge in front of them head on however, as they prepare for an early bottom of the table match up against Beaconsfield Town – a game neither side will want to lose with a fifth of the league campaign already gone.

Current Positions:

Swindon Supermarine in 22nd place, P7-W0-D0-L7 0pts
vs
Beaconsfield Town in 21st place, P7-W0-D2-L5 2Pts.

Both Teams Leading Goalscorers:

Marine: Levi Irving, Ed Williams – 2
The Rams: James Dobson – 3

Matchday Experience:

We’re expecting another noisy one this Tuesday evening as we welcome the Abbey Meads U11 Purples to the game! We’re looking forward to welcoming all the players, coaches, family and friends from Abbey Meads and we hope you all enjoy your visit.

We want to remember you all for being LOUD! Don’t forget to get involved and let’s hear you during the game and enjoy your exhibition game at half time and make sure you get plenty of high-fives from the crowd before you leave the pitch!

Half Time Draw:

Don’t forget to visit Martin in the club shop ahead of the game or when he’s going around the stadium to purchase tickets for our 50/50 Draw.

The draw is made and announced during the first half, but we will also have the winning numbers on our social media platforms if you miss out! Just £1 will get you entry and you could take home a cash prize or a runner-up prize!

Keeping up-to-date on game day:

If you can’t join us at the game, you can follow the action via our official Twitter account @SupermarineFC, where we will have regular updates throughout the match courtesy of Pete Crockett and perhaps a couple of new supporters as part of our media team. Poole Town vs Gosport Borough
Walton & Hersham vs Hayes & Yeading United
Winchester City vs Plymouth Parkway

Parking & Travel:

Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in our car park at the Webbswood Stadium, it does get very busy on matchdays so why not travel by public transport and then save the issue off finding a parking space!

We encourage our spectators to use the Stagecoach Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station, with a route via Greenbridge Retail Park and The Crown Inn at Stratton. It’s a twenty-three-minute bus ride to the last bus stop in the South Marston Industrial Estate (Exel stop).

Just ask the bus driver to stop for you at the bus stop for the Supermarine Sports Complex, and then it’s just a few minutes’ walk from there to the ground. This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it!
