Marine vs Hanwell Town Preview:

We welcome the Geordies to the Webbswood Stadium on Saturday afternoon as we return to league action, kick off 3pm.

Southern League football returns to Swindon on Saturday afternoon as Supermarine continue the search for their first league win of the season and having risen from the bottom of the current form guide in recent weeks, there’s hope that those three points may not be too far away.

While we’ve enjoyed a change of fortunes in recent weeks, the side will remain cautious of our visitors given that they are undefeated in their previous three away games (a 2-1 win at Plymouth Parkway, a 3-3 draw at Hendon and 1-1 at Sholing), so nobody will be expecting an easy ride.

Current Positions:

Swindon Supermarine in 22nd place - P12-W0-D3-L9-2pts
vs
Hanwell Town in 11th place - P12-W4-D4-L4-16Pts

The Teams Leading Goalscorers:

Marine: Levi Irving – 5
Geordies: Sam Evans - 11

There are no pre-match tickets on sale for the game, it is pay on the day at the turnstiles, which will be open from 13:15 with either cash or card payments accepted.

Matchday Programme:

Inside this weekend’s edition, Head Coach Stuart Fleetwood talks about missing last weekends game in the capital, Chairman Jez Webb reflects on the change in fortune under the new management, Nick Taylor takes a look over the last week and Pete Crockett reviews the glue that holds everything together during a tough time – supporters’ loyalty. There’s the usual facts and stats round-ups. Pick up your copy from the gate – all this and more and it’s still only £2.50!

Parking & Travel:

Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in our car park at the Webbswood Stadium, it does get very busy on matchdays so why not travel by public transport and then save the issue off finding a parking space!

We encourage our spectators to use the Stagecoach Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station, with a route via Greenbridge Retail Park and The Crown Inn at Stratton. It’s a twenty-three-minute bus ride to the last bus stop in the South Marston Industrial Estate (Exel stop).

Just ask the bus driver to stop for you at the bus stop for the Supermarine Sports Complex, and then it’s just a few minutes’ walk from there to the ground. This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it!
