Marine v Tiverton Town Review
Friday 6th October 2023
Marine vs Tiverton Town Preview:
We host part two of our Tiverton double header this Saturday as we get our FA Trophy campaign underway, kick off 3pm.
Current Positions:
Swindon Supermarine in 22nd P11-W0-D2-L9-2pts
vs
Tiverton Town in 18th P10-W2-D3-L5-9Pts)
There’s brief respite from our difficult start to the league campaign on Saturday afternoon as attention is switched to the road to Wembley, however it will be business as usual as Stuart Fleetwood’s side as they continue to push for the first win of the season with every reason to be optimistic.
There’s been a marked rise in confidence throughout the Supermarine ranks since the arrival of Stuart Fleetwood and Dan Gillespie and passage through to the First Round of the FA Trophy would be just deserts for the continued efforts that the players have displayed but Tivvy will also be buoyed by their second-half performance against Marine last weekend – setting up an exciting match-up between both sides once again.
The victors of this tie will receive £2450 and a place in the First Round of the competition (due to be played Saturday October 28), while the defeated club will pick up £625 from the prize fund.

Marine: Levi Irving & Ed Williams – 4

Parking & Travel:
Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in our car park at the Webbswood Stadium, it does get very busy on matchdays so why not travel by public transport and then save the issue off finding a parking space!
We encourage our spectators to use the Stagecoach Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station, with a route via Greenbridge Retail Park and The Crown Inn at Stratton. It’s a twenty-three-minute bus ride to the last bus stop in the South Marston Industrial Estate (Exel stop).
Just ask the bus driver to stop for you at the bus stop for the Supermarine Sports Complex, and then it’s just a few minutes’ walk from there to the ground. This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it!
