Congratulations to manager Lee Spalding and his assistant Charlie Griffin, along with their staff and all the players on winning the Southern League Premier Division South Team of the Month Award for April, kindly sponsored by PST Sport.
PST Sport are the sponsors of the Southern Football League’s club of the month awards for all four divisions and each winner receives an engraved glass memento along with a voucher for use with the company.
The Southern League news reported; It was so near, yet so far for Swindon Supermarine in the Premier Division South. Lee Spalding’s men ended up agonisingly just two points off a playoff place.
They averaged 2.5 points-per-game in April, winning 3-0 at home to Plymouth Parkway, losing 2-1 at home to title-chasing Bracknell Town, and then ending the campaign with away wins at North Leigh and Yate Town and home successes against Poole Town and Chesham United.
