Mat Liddiard departs the Webbswood

Head coach Stuart Fleetwood as reported that club stalwart Mat Liddiard is leaving Swindon Supermarine this summer, after failing to reach an agreement after talks ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Defender Lids, made 211 appearances in the blue of Marine, scoring 17 goals in his time at the club and captained us to our highest ever league finish of 6th in the 2022/23 season and was part of the side that won the Wilts Premier Shield in 2021/22.

We cannot put enough words in to thank Lids for his time as a Marine player, and he leaves as a club legend. We wish him nothing but the best for whatever comes next for him and he will always be welcome back at the Webbswood Stadium.
