Taunton Town striker signs loan deal

Swindon Supermarine head coach Stuart Fleetwood is delighted to announce that forward Dave Sims-Burgess has joined Marine on an initial one-month loan deal.

The 27-year-old arrives at the Webbswood Stadium from National League South side Taunton Town having been at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium since 2022.

Dave finished as the Peacocks leading goal scorer with 10-goals last season following a move from Bath City and prior to that, the frontman was also leading scorer at Yate Town where he played a key part in their 2021/22 promotion winning campaign.

A product of the youth system at Filton College, he moved to Chipping Sodbury Town where he spent two seasons and helped them gain promotion to the Western League before he securing a move to Southern League side Paulton Rovers back in the 2017-18 campaign.

He then moved to Yate Town the following year where he finished as the Bluebells top scorer before returning to Paulton and scoring 16 goals.

He then headed back to Lodge Road for a second spell and impressive displays grabbed the attention of Bath City who snapped him up in November 2021, before he joined Taunton the following summer.

So far this season Dave has made 12 appearances for the Peacocks, scoring one goal and with a proven track record at this level, we’re excited to see him join up with the side and wish him every success during his spell in Wiltshire.
