Jed signed for Marine on January 21st 2022 for a loan spell from Bristol Rovers and made his debut the following day in a 6-1 win against Walton Casuals. Ward joined local Bristol side Bradley Stoke United before being scouted at a local tournament and joined Bristol Rovers at the age of eight. He signed his first professional contract with the club a year ago. In May 2021he made his professional debut for the first team on the final day of the season against Blackpool. On 21st May 2021, the day after he turned 18, Ward was called up to the England U19 training camp which was held at St George’s Park.
