Hendon v Marine Preview

Match Preview from Mike Wray

Another trip along the M4 for Marine on Tuesday evening, as we visit Silver Jubilee Park, kick off 7.45pm.

Marine extended their unbeaten run to nine games on Saturday with a fantastic performance against title challengers Truro City, but manager Lee Spalding will know that there’s no place for complacency as his side take to the pitch again on Tuesday evening, with another side at the opposite end of the standings.

Our hosts secured a creditable point on the road at Beaconsfield Town at the weekend and were close to earning a point at Bracknell Town the previous Tuesday having scored in the 87’, only for their hosts to snatch a late winner two minutes later and only fell to an injury time winner in their previous game at home to league leaders Weston-super-Mare, so as the old saying goes, there are no easy games!

To help gain the points required to escape a relegation battle, the Greens have recently signed former Japanese U19 International Dan Matsuzaka, who has arrived on a one-month loan from Weymouth in a bid to strengthen his defensive options and Leo Donnellan has returned for a second spell at the club who has arrived from Irish side Portadown.
