Marine v Bracknell Town Preview
Thursday 21st December 2023
Marine vs Bracknell Town Preview:
It’s our Christmas Jumper game this Saturday, as we welcome Bracknell Town to the Webbswood Stadium for our final game before the big day, kick off 3:00pm.
We head to this Christmas weekend game on the back of five wins, one draw and one defeat in our last seven games as we face Bracknell Town who in a turn of fortunes have suffered five defeats, one draw and only managed one victory in their last seven games, however the management and players will know only too well, that form counts for nothing unless they are on top of their game.
Last weekend’s superb three points in Gosport Borough may well have failed to see Marine exit the relegation spaces due to those around us picking up points, but with things not fairing as well for those hovering just above the drop zone, just four points now separates fourteenth and twenty-first spots, to show just how far this side has progressed through their hard graft of recent weeks.
Clinical finishing was the difference when the two sides last met at the SB Stadium back in August, but with over half the Marine side that lost 5-0 that day having since moved on, both clubs will know that things will be different this time round.

Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in our car park at the Webbswood Stadium, it does get very busy on matchdays so why not travel by public transport and then save the issue off finding a parking space!
We encourage our spectators to use the Stagecoach Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station, with a route via Greenbridge Retail Park and The Crown Inn at Stratton. It’s a twenty-three-minute bus ride to the last bus stop in the South Marston Industrial Estate (Exel stop).
Just ask the bus driver to stop for you at the bus stop for the Supermarine Sports Complex, and then it’s just a few minutes’ walk from there to the ground. This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it!
