Match Preview from Mike Wray

We’re back at home this Saturday as Tiverton Town make the journey to the Webbswood Stadium, kick off 3:00pm.

Marine 6th P33-W17-D7-L9 58pts
Tiverton Town 13th P33-W12-D7-L14 43Pts

There’s a quick return to action for Marine as we host Tiverton Town at the Webbswood Stadium this Saturday and following on from Wednesday’s impressive performance against Gosport Borough, you can certainly expect another great contest as the boys remain fully focussed on reaching the Play-Offs.

A waterlogged pitch put an end to our visitors’ midweek plans against Hayes & Yeading United, so their last outing was a two-all draw at Hendon last Saturday – their second consecutive 2-2 draw and they’re currently one place below Marine in the current form standings.

Tivvy will be without the services of youngster Jack Fanning after he was snapped up by the Swansea City Academy during the week, but one to watch out for is most certainly Niall Thompson who has impressed in our earlier game this season and when we played against his former club Truro City.

Marine leading goalscorer: Harry Williams / 27 league goals
Tiverton Town leading goalscorers: Louis Morrison & Jamie Richards / 6 league goals
Admission Prices - Adults £11, Concessions £6 & U12s Free

Additionally we are also offering Swindon Town Season Ticket holders admission to our remaining home games for just £5 on production of there Swindon Town season ticket.

We’re all set to welcome three U8s sides from Liden Juniors to the game, with the Avengers, Warriors and the Wondergirls all joining us so we hope that all the players, coaches and any family and friends who come along, enjoy their visit and make sure you bring the noise as you’ve a lot to do to beat FC Abbey Meads U10s who joined us midweek!
