Marine v Truro City Preview
Friday 24th February 2023
Match Preview from Mike Wray
The White Tigers pay a visit to the Webbswood Stadium on Saturday 25th February, as we host the final of three home games this month, kick off 3pm.
Marine 6th P28-W14-D6-L8 48pts
Truro City 2nd P30-W19-D8-L3 65Pts
We welcome Truro City to Wiltshire this Saturday afternoon and with both sides in the hunt for promotion, it promises to be another game you won’t want to miss!
With a depleted side Marine lost 4-0 at Bolitho Park earlier in the season, but despite that result, it was only a mad five minutes that ultimately cost Lee Spalding’s men on the night, along with some clinical finishing from Tyler Harvey and Andrew Neal who secured a brace apiece.
While league positions remain similar, it’s Marine who currently edge the opposition in the current form charts and with a run of eight league games without defeat, our visitors suffered a rare 3-0 defeat at Poole Town earlier this week which followed a surprise 1-1 home draw against Hartley Wintney last Saturday.
Those results have left the White Tigers two points from top spot, having played two games more than the current leaders, Weston-super-Mare and in much need of the points as we head towards the run-in.
Marine leading goalscorer: Harry Williams / 26 league goals
Truro City leading goalscorer: Tyler Harvey / 21 league goals
