Supermarine v Cribbs Preview

Supermarine vs Cribbs Preview:

Current Positions:

Southern League Premier South - Swindon Supermarine in 22nd place, P6-W0-D0-L6 0pts. vs Southern League Division One South - Cribbs in 6th place, P4-W2-D1-L1 7Pts.

Marine gain temporary respite from their cruel Southern League fixture list this coming Saturday afternoon, however only as far as gaining a potential banana skin cup tie against an inform Cribbs side who are currently riding high in the league below following a hugely successful promotion winning campaign last term.

Ending August pointless, supporter Pete Crockett concluded his post-game match report highlighting that September should be a touch less difficult and as long as Marine can go toe-to-toe with their opposition and scrap out results. They will then start to replicate the performance we became used to last season and a moral boosting cup win would be just the tonic to kick start our season!

Both Teams Leading Goalscorers:

Supermarine: Levi Irving – 2
Cribbs: Jacob Brown – 3

Last Season:

Cribbs won promotion from the Hellenic Premier League with 94 points from their 36 league games last season and gained promotion to the Southern League Division 1 South. They managed to win a massive 30 of their league games, losing only twice. In the FA Cup, they went out in their first game – a tough encounter against Ascot United, but were far from disgraced with a creditable 2-1 scoreline.

Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in our car park at the Webbswood Stadium, it does get very busy on matchdays so why not travel by public transport and then save the issue off finding a parking space!

We encourage our spectators to use the Stagecoach Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station, with a route via Greenbridge Retail Park and The Crown Inn at Stratton. It’s a twenty-three-minute bus ride to the last bus stop in the South Marston Industrial Estate (Exel stop).

Just ask the bus driver to stop for you at the bus stop for the Supermarine Sports Complex, and then it’s just a few minutes’ walk from there to the ground. This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it!
