Marine v Gosport Preview
Tuesday 14th March 2023
Match Preview from Mike Wray
We host our first home game of March this Wednesday evening with a visit from Mark Moseley and his Gosport Borough side, kick off 7.45pm.
Marine 6th P32-W16-D7-L9 55pts
Gosport Borough 16th P34-W10-D5-L19 35Pts
Marine will be looking to get back to winning ways when Gosport make the trip to Wiltshire on Wednesday evening following the end of an incredible eleven league game unbeaten run and an 88th minute penalty decision that certainly raised a few eyebrows.
Despite the result, there is no time to dwell on what might-have-been, as focus will have been immediately drawn on Wednesday evening and another tough task against a side looking to distance themselves from the relegation battle.
Having joined the club in November, Director of Football and Manager Mark Moseley has instigated a rise from 20th to 16th in the standings, picking up sixteen points along the way, and will be hoping to mastermind a similar result as his predecessor recorded over Lee Spalding’s men when the two clubs met back in the opening month of the season.
Marine leading goalscorer: Harry Williams / 27 league goals
Gosport Borough leading goalscorer: Daniel Wooden / 14 league goals
