Marine v Gloucester City Preview

Posted by Keith Yeomans

MARINE WELCOME GLOUCESTER CITY TO THE WEBBSWOOD STADIUM

Marine host their second home game in three days as the preseason continues on Tuesday night against National League North side Gloucester City, KO 7:45pm.

Marine will be looking to avenge a 2-0 defeat last preseason but will have their work cut out against a well drilled and organised side under manager Lee Mansell. City are in good form having beaten Bishops Cleeve 3-0 away at the weekend in their first run out of preseason.

Team news for Marine is that Brad Hooper and Conor McDonagh should be back with the squad. Ty Duffus has a slight leg strain which caused him to miss out on any playing time on Saturday’s 2-0 win over Swindon Town. He will be assessed ahead of the this match with Gloucester City.

Manager Lee Spalding ahead of the match had this to say:

“This will be a good test for the team, it’s important we keep building momentum every game and our fitness levels and organisation will be tested to the full. Gloucester play in Conference North so we are looking forward to another very competitive game in which we can keep looking at improving in certain areas and take the positives. Hopefully we will have another good turnout from the fans as we did at the weekend! See you on Tuesday night!“

The turnstiles and all other facilities are open from 6:00pm, with admission prices as follows:

Family admission (e.g. 2 adults & 2 students age 12-17) - £25
Adults - £10
Concessions (over 60s) - £8
Students (12-17 years-old) - £5
Children (U12’s) - FREE

PARKING / TRAVEL

Whilst we have FREE car parking for over 300 cars in the car park at the Webbswood Stadium it does get very busy on matchdays so why not travel by public transport and be rewarded at the same time. We encourage our spectators to use the Number 7 bus from the town centre bus station. It’s a 26 minute bus ride and a seven minute walk from the bus stop at South Marston Park, and on production of your bus ticket for day the of the match to either the bar staff or kitchen staff and you will be rewarded with either a FREE pint or a FREE snack of your choice! This makes the Webbswood Stadium more accessible to all and has greener credentials, please try it
