Salisbury v Swindon Supermarine Preview:

We continue on the road on Tuesday evening, when we travel south for our first Wiltshire derby of the season at Salisbury, kick off 7.45pm. There’s little time to dwell on a second successive defeat as we hit the road to the Ray Mac Stadium on Tuesday evening, for game day three of the 2023-24 campaign.

A superb opening half performance at the Elmbridge Sports Hub on Saturday afternoon demonstrated the levels that this side will produce as the season progresses but there will be little respite in August as the games continue thick and fast against those sides tipped to be challenging for promotion come the final month of the season, and Salisbury will be no different.

The formula is simple. Play like we did in that opening half on Saturday, and we’ll win more than we lose. The key to that, is time and continued hard graft and rest assured, the squad are working at maximum effort to make it happen and a derby match would be a fantastic place to get that important opening win.

Despite adding to their firepower during the off season, it’s the experienced Sido Jombati who is leading the Whites charge on the goals front, with the 6’4“ defender grabbing all three of their goals coming from the penalty spot, and with one win and one draw under their belts, we can expect another hugely tough game as our hosts look to remain undefeated.
