Match Preview from Mike Wray

We’re hoping it’s a case of third time lucky, as we’re set to travel to Meadow Lane as we continue the defence of our 1st Office Equipment sponsored Wiltshire Premier Shield crown against the White Horse Men which kick’s off at 7:45pm.

Westbury United 9th SLD1S - P22-W9-D5-L8 32Pts
Marine 10th P21-W10-D3-L8 33pts

For Supermarine. only the weather has changed since we previewed this trip originally however our hosts can boast a competitive fixture at the weekend – their first since January 7 and their 3-3 draw at Wimbourne Town and despite going behind at Tavistock after just eight-minutes, the White Horse Men battled back to take the three points with a 2-1 victory, lifting them to the same number of points as their hosts and just one point from the playoff places.

To recap from the previous two previews for this game, both sides enter the tie on the back of impressive First Round wins which took place back in November. Marine securing a 6-1 victory at Bemerton Heath Harlequins with goals courtesy of Zack Kotwica 2, Henry Spalding 2, Conor McDonagh and Ryan Campbell and Westbury registering a 5-2 score at Royal Wootton Bassett Town with Joe Strandling, Harvey Flippance, Charlie Walton, Gary Higdon and Ryan Bole all on the scoresheet.
